Texas Teachers’ Day

Those who can’t
allow a single kid to quietly slip through the cracks,
teach.

Every year, October 5 marks Texas Teachers’ Day. On that day, and during the week it falls within, #TeachersCan and our 150+ partners rally organizations, communities around the state, and Texans to show teachers how much we honor and appreciate them.

Below are several ways individuals, businesses, school boards, city councils, and others can make a big statement for Texas Teachers’ Day.

1. Illuminate Your Building

During the week of October 5th, we want to see as many iconic buildings as possible illuminated in blue — the academic color of education — to light up the state for our teachers who continue to be a bright, guiding light for our students.

Contact us to add your building to the list.

3. Shine a Light on your favorite teacher

Nominate your favorite teachers for their chance to be featured in future #TeachersCanTuesday social media spotlights.
